About Mrs. Monson

My name is Mrs. Monson and I have been a teacher for seven years. Receiving my undergraduate at Northwest University was a fabulous experience and I furthered my education by obtaining my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from City University. My teaching experiences includes many long-term substitute positions, teaching 5/6 multi-age in Lake Washington School District and 5/6 split or 6th grade classes in Northshore School District.

I am married to the most wonderful husband and father, David. He is my best friend and I couldn't imagine life without him! We have three beautiful children, Aaron who is eight years old and twin girls, Susie and Jenna who are six years old. We consider ourselves extremely blessed!

For fun, I love to read, swim and camp, so as you might guess, summer is my favorite season. I get to do all three! I really like camping at Lake Chelan, swimming in lakes, rivers and pools, and reading autobiographies and historical fiction. I love Starbucks coffee, so in the fall and winter, you'd find me spending my free time drinking coffee and reading a good book.

Watching sports is another favorite of mine. I am a huge fan of baseball, football - college and professional, college basketball, tennis and golf. This summer I was able to play a little bit of golf and attend a couple of baseball games. Currently, my favorite Mariner player is Franklin Gutierrez. He's been a fabulous addition to the team this season.
